WOW!! I cannot imagine swimming from Japan to USA, as I do not swim comfortably long distances, but some of my students do. I teach older adults who are afraid of the water to swim. Wait till I tell them what you are attempting that should get them going.
I look forward to hearing how you go and all the best. Good luck.
Helen
Thanks Helen. The one word I keep most in mind when I’m swimming is ‘relax’
Cheers,
Richard
Hi Richard. Your an inspiration to follow! I am keen to hear how you progress and I hope your message reaches many as you undertake this challenge.
I will be getting the message out there!
Cheers, Paula.
Hi Richard
I am one of a small group of concerned citizens currently lobbying the Queensland Govt to follow the example of the South Australian Govt who have banned the use of single use light weight nonbiodegradable plastic bags. Your commitment to the PVC project is amazing and hopefully it will raise public awareness to the extent that governments will take the steps towards limiting the increase of ocean gyres. Good luck!
Ailsa,
Thanks for your interest. Plastic bag reduction is one of the Challenge’s main goals. FYI:
